Are you looking for a reliable care provider for your most precious possession while you tend to other obligations? Whether they are your children or grandchildren, you still are concerned about their wellbeing. What are your main concerns about childcare options?
Cleanliness, kindness, gentleness, and safety will all be high on your list. But did you ever give more than a passing thought to what those people who are standing in for you will be teaching your child?
“Oh, my baby is just three months old. I don’t have to worry about what they are teaching.” Yes, you do!
IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY TO LEARN ABOUT UNDERSTANDING AND INCLUSION! One website has this in solid caps as I show it. They start teaching about “inclusion” at three months. This care provider says babies can be aware of physical differences at that point in their development. They start teaching them what they call a foundation for empathy and compassion. What does a baby or toddler need to know about physical differences, compassion, or empathy? What physical differences are they teaching about? It may be fine, but you had better know what differences they teach and how. Babies and toddlers normally don’t care if their playmate is a boy or girl, black, brown, or white. Why make them aware of differences? Isn’t it better to not consider differences as often as possible?
One care provider also brags about introducing books that emphasize differences. If that involves a variety of choices of food—fine. Beyond that, investigate what the focus will be. This particular company says the information they provide your children will create new thought patterns. Are they replacing the thought patterns you have instilled at home? Once more, that could be harmless, or it could be an indoctrination you don’t want.
They proudly state they make the babies and toddlers become aware of “same” and “different” by directing their attention to different body parts. Decide if this is what you want your baby to learn and if this is who you want teaching it.
They also teach children they can be anything they want. That’s great! Or is it? Do they teach a boy can be a girl? You need to ask questions!
I recommend you do a trial run now. Choose two care providers, visit their websites and compare what they offer. There are many, small and large. Two prominent ones are Bright Horizons and KinderCare. Look for words like inclusion, equity, and differences. I also invite you to re-read a couple of my previous posts dated July 17, 2021, and August 12. 2021.
Here is an excerpt from August 12:
Examples of why you should seriously consider sending your children to a private or parochial school are abundant. One is the new “woke” videos that are flooding kindergartens. There is even a baby’s board book titled “Woke Baby” for ages 0-3. (Keep in mind the push for Pre-K for ages 3 & 4.) Until you can make the switch, check the syllabus for each class your children will be attending for the critical race theory, 1619 Project, and other inappropriate material. If you find anything that you object to, make your voice heard. Tell other parents about it.
