Your vote is vital. Yes, your vote is always significant—in presidential elections, mid-terms, gubernatorial, and on. But I don’t want you to forget about the primaries. We are in the primary season where candidates vie against others in the same party. I ask you not to ignore these. There are differences in what is key to each person asking for your vote.
If you don’t know much about the various candidates you can look them up online. Here is one site that has links for both Republicans and Democrats.
- Which one will better represent your desire to not have CRT or the 1619 Project taught in your schools?
- Which one believes that kindergarteners and sometimes pre-K should not be taught LGBTQ or transgender studies?
- Which one has the same position you do regarding masks in schools?
- Which one believes teachers’ organizations should not be dictating policy to the Department of Justice?
- Which one will stand behind parents’ right to have a voice in what is taught to their children?
- Which candidate is concerned about how the open southern border affects your kids in school?
- Who will give you the strongest support for school choice?
You may have other concerns regarding the health or safety of your children. In each elective position, from the most local office up to the president of the United States, it is crucial to have people who don’t just talk a good line, but will take action when they are elected.
Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.
