ROE V WADE
The Supreme Court decision has just been reached on Roe v Wade. It’s going back to the states. I believe that is where it should be, but many are treating this as though it will take away all right to have an abortion. It doesn’t do that. Some states will have more leniency than others.
I understand if someone wants to have an abortion and the laws in the state of residence are strict, this will be a problem for that person. It is not always easy to travel to another state for this procedure.
What I do not understand is desiring to have an abortion. I saw a woman and her daughter on television, and the woman was complaining that they were going to take away the right for her daughter to kill her own baby—the woman’s own grandchild! Do they not know there are ways to prevent pregnancy? The main one is to wait until you are married to have intercourse. If the pregnancy occurs while married and the couple are unable to care for the child, there are many people who would love the opportunity to adopt it.
TRANSGENDER PROMOTION IN SCHOOL
I received an email from Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis that told the following:
Children learning to recognize red and blue and differentiate between green and yellow is a classic part of preschool. But few children in the past can claim they were taught their colors using “Progress Pride Flag Rainbow Families Flash Cards”—but, sadly, preschoolers in a North Carolina school now can.
The cover for the LGBT-themed flash cards featured the updated rainbow flag (the flag that includes white, blue, pink, brown, and black) and a description of what each color supposedly stands for. For example, red is “life,” purple is “spirit,” pink is “transgender woman,” and brown is “inclusivity.” Within the cards themselves, the card for “white” depicts a man and woman—and the “man” is pregnant!
I wrote about a similar issue in Chapter 4 of my book Who’s God Dibs on Your Kids?. Be sure you check out what your school is teaching and how they teach it.
GOOD NEWS!
I signed a book contract with a publisher this week. It is middle-grade nonfiction about creatures at the bottom of the ocean. I wrote it with what I think is an unexpected twist. The wonders of God’s creation are astonishing!
Of course, it takes forever to get a book through the publishing process, and I admit I can’t wait to see it in print. I’ll let you know more as we move along.
